Following unanimous agreement at the AGM in November 2024, BSRLM has established a Solidarity Fund. The purpose of this fund is to support mathematics educators in the UK who have been affected by war, forced migration or other forms of threat or discrimination. This fund offers 2 years free membership and will cover the registration costs for all BSRLM conferences in that period.
The following criteria will be used to assess claims for the Solidarity Fund:
- having UK Asylum status or Discretionary/Limited Leave to Remain as a result of an Asylum application, and those with Humanitarian Protection (as a result of an asylum application).
- and, a letter of recommendation from a BSRLM member.
In order to submit an application to the Solidarity Fund, please email the current Chair of BSRLM (details can be found on the website). Your application will be assessed by the BSRLM Executive.
