Virtual New Researchers' Day Conference
About this event:
BSRLM New Researchers' Day Conference (virtual)
Friday 3rd July 2020
Given the current situation regarding Covid-19 the BSRLM Executive has taken the decision to cancel the next planned Day Conference which was due to take place at the University of Leeds on 12th and 13th June. Our local organisers have been able to reschedule their conference to 11th and 12th June 2021. The next planned Day Conference is now due to be held in Edinburgh on 14th November 2020.
However, we are pleased to announce that a virtual New Researchers' Day will take place on 3rd July 2020.
The 2020 BSRLM summer day conference and New Researchers' Day have been cancelled. However, we are please to announce that a virtual New Researchers' Day will be held on Friday 3rd July 2020 from 10:30am to 4.15 pm (time to be confirmed).
This conference is aimed at PhD or Masters students in mathematics education, teachers and others new(ish) to research. Those who have attended NRDs previously are welcomed. The conference provides an opportunity for relatively inexperienced researchers to share their own research and to hear about the research of others in similar positions to themselves.
The morning and afternoon sessions include a keynote speech (Geoff Wake and Jennie Golding) addressing some general research issues and parallel sessions of 30 minutes each.
The programme for the conference can be found here. The abstracts are here.
