The aim of this blog is to provide research-informed and accessible content on key issues in mathematics education, both in the UK and internationally. The blog is edited by a small team from the BSRLM Executive, which approves content for publication. However, the views expressed on this blog are those of the authors and do not reflect those of BSRLM.
The editorial team welcomes submissions to the blog of approximately 500 words. These might be:
- Short reports or summaries of research
- Opinion pieces to stimulate debate
- Responses to policy changes/reforms
- Experiences as a mathematics education researcher
- Experiences of using research
Contributions should be research-informed; avoid jargon, dense language and excessive references; provide links to sources (where possible); use inclusive and non-derogatory language; and should not include content (or links to material/sites) deemed inappropriate by the editorial team.
Here is some guidance on writing a blog post from a journal article and some general advice on writing blogs.
If you wish to submit a blog, please contact Pete Wright using the Contact form at the bottom of the page.
