BCME 10 October 2026 Peer-Reviewed Proceedings: The call is now open for an individual or (likely) team to edit the BCME10 Proceedings: details may be found below. This is an excellent opportunity for a team of experienced and less experienced research paper reviewers to work together. Please note the deadline for Expressions of Interest is 9th February 2026.
Call for Editorial team, peer-reviewed Proceedings of BCME 2026.
BCME 10 will be a collaboration between BSRLM and the newly formed AMiE, with input from other UK mathematics education bodies. AMiE (Association for Mathematics in Education) comes into existence in December 2025 through the merger of AMET, ATM, MA, NAMA, and NANAMIC. BCME will be a two-day conference featuring a range of research and practice-focused sessions, with particular focus on celebrating research and teacher enquiry that has potential for direct impact on classroom practice. BCME will take the place of the usual BSRLM Autumn conference in 2026; preferential rates will be offered to members of BSRLM (and those of AMiE).
Presenters of BCME sessions or posters that are research or enquiry-focused will be offered the opportunity to submit their research/enquiry for a peer-reviewed BCME 10 Proceedings paper, to be published in March or April 2027; they will indicate their interest in doing so when they propose a session/poster. We anticipate that papers will use the current BSRLM Proceedings six-page template, and will be submitted soon after the conference. A suggested outline timeline is given below. Anyone submitting will be expected also to review a paper, and those reviews will be supplemented by others from BSRLM volunteers, so that every paper submitted has two reviews, at least one of which is from an experienced researcher. The Proceedings editor(s) will offer a paper-writing support session at BCME.
BSRLM invites expressions of interest from an individual or, likely, team to edit the BCME 10 Proceedings within the above parameters. Preference will be given to a proposal that will clearly offer support for the development of editorial/authorial capacity. Please give an indication of the previous writing and editorial experience of the team, the approach to be used, including the support available to early career or first-time research/enquiry authors. For reference, the Proceedings of BCME 9 and BCME 8 may be found here.
Editorial team proposals of 1000-1500 words, plus brief relevant biographical details, should be sent to the BSRLM BCME link Professor Jennie Golding at j.golding@ucl.ac.uk no later than midday on 9th February 2026.
